Project Overview
Involved the design-build construction of steel canopies for the toll booths at the new State Route 125 toll highway located in southern San Diego County.
Entailed the construction of two large 65’ wide by 43’ long by 34’ tall structural steel canopies over two toll plazas. The canopies were installed on top of reinforced concrete caissons in 27’ deep drilled holes. The curved canopy tops were covered with standing seam metal roofing and the sides were covered with phenolic wall panels manufactured by Trespa in the Netherlands to provide a finished look matching the adjacent Southbay Expressway operations building.

Provided the material and constructed the metal

for the phenolic panel siding.
Prepared structural shop drawings for underground
